Our journey began several years ago, during a vacation in Bali, Indonesia – my first visit to this enchanting island.

As I strolled through the vibrant streets, I witnessed something truly inspiring: a man sitting on the sidewalk, meticulously adding the final touches to a chair he had crafted entirely by hand. Handmade wood and rattan furniture are a cherished tradition in Indonesia, passed down through generations.  

The dedication and artistry of that humble craftsman left an indelible mark on me. Recognising a unique opportunity in the market, I decided to leave behind my 9-to-5 real estate job and embark on a new adventure. Thus, Eight Degrees South was born – a family-run export, online, and retail store, co-founded alongside my talented friend, Lola.

At Eight Degrees South, we are intimately involved in every aspect of our furniture and décor pieces – from collaborating with local artisans on design concepts to overseeing manufacturing and ensuring worldwide delivery. As the world of interior design evolves, we stay at the forefront, keeping our unique items aligned with the latest trends.
